Vintage Ercol adult size stacking dining chairs, model number 440, in fully restored condition.
Made by Ercol in the 1960s, these chairs are becoming increasingly difficult to find in the full adult size.
These single bar chairs are made from solid English oak and elm, fantastic quality, they exhibit the incredible craftsmanship as expected with Ercol. 
The chairs are slightly different in height by one centimetre. Both have been fully stripped and sanded, three coats of hard wax oil have been applied. One of the chairs has remains of its original blue Ercol label. Both have an Ercol and British Standard kite stamp on the underside.
